As far as your Arithmetic formula for characterization, I will honestly tell you that, that you have failed my Math Class. You made a very serious and irresponsible answer Ms. Haninger. Let me refresh your memory regarding the rules in Addition.

Required: Four properties
.........................1, commutative property
...........................2, associative property
.............................3, additive identity property
...............................4, distributive property

Functions of each properties:

Commutative property: When two numbers are added, the sum is the same regardless of the order of the addends. For example 4 + 2 = 2 + 4

Associative Property: When three or more numbers are added, the sum is the same regardless of the grouping of the addends. For example (2 + 3) + 4 = 2 + (3 + 4)

Additive Identity Property: The sum of any number and zero is the original number. For example 5 + 0 = 5.

Distributive property: The sum of two numbers times a third number is equal to the sum of each addend times the third number. For example 4 * (6 + 3) = 4*6 + 4*3

Given the rules above, your second addend provides a contradictory sum (results). Let us refer back to your arithmetic formula of characterization.

It should have been written like this.

Madonna + Respectablity = _______________
Hint: The sum would be synonymous to respectablity.

Madonna + Large Credibility Gap = _________________
Hint: The sum would be synonymous to Large Credibility Gap.

I admit to have taken some license here and should have used some other than a math metaphore ..my intended point to make was that I see Madonna + Respectibility as something of a non sequitur (oops, forgot, must translate!) or something that does not connect or, literally "follow". I suppose there is also a flaw in this expression as well. Not to pick on Madonna exclusively, CL, but I could easily see someone plugging her into your posted video featuring Satan as being among us. Yes, someone actually watched the whole thing! It featured images of the KKK, Kiss and more such who have visibility in past history and the present as well. It spoke of Satan as a seducer and liar and as making an attempt to be a legitimate friend, warning mankind to be wary (at least that was my take). These things are taught in christianity as well. I will not be one to state that Madonna is an instrument of the devil but there are many who would. But, I did think it interesting that you made both posts and that the Modonna one seemed to legitimize her. I would not do so. Anyway, it was interesting viewing and has relevance if done so thoughtfully. BTW, I am a male so the MS. does not apply. Thanks and I know where to come if I need a math lesson.

Mr. Haninger my answer to you is quite simple.

Madonna + Profession = Artist

That is all she is to me, a talented unique artist.

As far as credibility and respectability is concerned, I would rather focus on my own shortcomings --- Changes are constantly evolving.

Muaahhahhahahahahhaha. I can't afford the Professor coming down on me with this minor issue.

I guess Madonna is respectable as a mum of two and having enough of an entourage to ensure no "slip-ups" in this regard.

Whether she is or has been "respectful" is a different matter, given the wholly different money-making entourage of the past (and currently with new world tour), all of whom would no doubt be extremely respectful of her when the cheque book salaries are written.

In my book, all pop stars aim to make money, as do those trailing behind. Whatever the stars sing or video (by insruction of their marketing agents) is something that one takes or leaves. When these are adverse to normality or morality, they only ever gain ground when that is the prevailing wind of dissention. James Dean was prevalent in the early 50's apparently, i.e. over half a century ago...

One of the noble and rewarding profession is to be a Teacher. Along with this profession comes patience and tolerance which I do not always have. So I prefer to be a student wherein I have the opportunity to challenge them.
