Macro Using Split Screen

Oct 20, 2007 6:31AM PDT

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows a macro software or any software that will allow me to use my computer while I'm running a macro on either a part of the screen, or in an internet window in the background? The point is that I want to use my computer while I'm running the macro. Thanks.

(I know that Microsoft is creating a software for split-screen, but it's not out yet.)

The only solution I know of is...

To put such inside a virtual box. ie. Vmware, virtual PC, etc.

- What kind of macro? Say, a Firefox macro or a MS Access macro? Might make a difference.
- "Split screen" I only know of inside an application window, such as Word (looking at different parts of a document at the same time) or Excel (looking at different parts of a spreadsheet at the same time).
- "A part of the screen". Do you mean a window belonging to an application? That's independent of other applications. There's nothing in Windows that won't let you use Internet Explorer while MS Access is running a one-hour macro on a large database. Windows is multi-tasking.
- "A macro in an Internet window". Same question as #1. What kind of macro?
