That would have to be an AutoOpen macro. And it sounds like something that can be done. But if you've never been writing VBA-code you have some steep learning curve to go.

I have never wrote a macro before, but have looked on the net have the basic idea of what they are and how they work. What I need is a macro that fires upon opening a document to create a header for the document. however, the header has to be dynamic. I can get the information that needs to be in theheader either by the name of the document or from text inside the document itself(the first row of the document).
Please, let me know if this is possible, and if it is some starting direction...
