Just about all small cameras do a good job with Macro Photography,
A camera with some manual controls is preferred.
Lighting is the key element.
A light box and tripod are necessary.
Here is a write-up on lighting and general Table Top Photograph,
with many examples:
I have to post good quality photographs on a website. The website deals in silver plated jewelery and handicrafts.
The jewelery also includes small earrings and sundry other tiny items.
I would like to do this with a perfect white background. To do this I have a back lit ( LED with mirror and White Translucent Front ) surface.
Soft box, tripod are not a problem. All I'm looking for is a cheap point and shoot camera that gives good results in 'Macro Mode'.
I live in India and we are a couple of years behind when new cameras are introduced. Please keep this in mind when answering my query.
