I suspect you mean Macbook Pro, which is a totally different thing.
You did not mention which one of the MBP options you decided on, but the 2.8GHz version with the 512GB of storage would seem to be a good bang for the buck.
The graphics memory is culled from the main memory, up to 1.5GB, so maxing out the memory to 16GB would be advantageous.
Remember though that the memory is hard wired into the MBP so the decision to purchase more has to be done at the time of ordering. ($200)
While the i7 is the faster processor, I'm not sure if the extra $ would be better spent in choosing the extra RAM.
The MBP, Core i5, is capable of running GoPro studio right out of the box
Buying a 13 " MacPro (my 1st Mac) primarily for photo editing/GoPro Studio. Not a power users, just home stuff. GP Studio recommends an i7 processor. Since I'm not a professional is it worth the extra couple hundred bucks to upgrade to the i7? What about going from 8MB to 16 MB memory? Thanks
