Macbook video memory

Feb 12, 2007 4:22AM PST

Why does macbook only has 64mb of video ram, when intel GMA 950 supports up to 224MB of video memory? is there anyway to upgrade it by using system memory (RAM)?

Because in the MacOSX it's not required?

You will see however in BootCamp XP it will allocate more.

What issue did you trip over to ask this?

Can you get to an Apple store?

I find they sometimes have such running and you find that if the game is on MacOSX then it runs fine. This is not like a PC when it comes to these issues.

"is it portable enough to carry around easily?"

I'm 6 foot tall and 190 pounds. The laptop seems to not slow me down too much. Sorry but I'm unsure how to answer this one.

You don't have to go to an Apple....

....store. The Best Buy, about a mile away (west LA) has everything available in an Apple Store, including, certified repair techs.

Prices are exactly the same as Apple stores. I just bought a 24" iMac, my first. I love it.
