Go to the Apple site and click on Support.
There you will find a field to enter your serial number.
Although this will not check the warranty status of the machine, it will give you a chance to see if the TriCare (a military health Plan) serial number is for the machine or for your contract with whomever issued the sticker.
This "may" be something to do with Triad, Computer Solutions.
let us know how you get on
As the title I have a Macbook 2.0 GHZ which I'm having problems with the Optical Drive on a used laptop I've bought.
I thought the laptop was under warranty because the serial number under the battery indicates that it's covered under a TriCare arrangement (anyone have an idea what TriCare is??).
However, when I click on the "About this Mac" section and the serial number showing is different.
Could this mean the hard drive or the case on the laptop has been swapped?
