Macbook Pro...Yes or No?

Is the Macbook Pro truly the best notebook on the market or is it all false information? Is it too troublesome to try to run non-native programs on the intel chip mac using Rosetta?

I've become very interested in the Macbook Pro and Tiger OS X. Although pricy, the software that comes with Tiger seems to be uncomparable to what you would recieve with a PC.

I hope to use this strictly for school (High School) and not gaming. Is this the right computer?
