Nothing tells me it works in your laptop. I'd try some USB WiFi adapters next.
I have a Macbook pro retina, running Sierra. (No updates available). I cannot get it to connect to my wifi. Other devices will connect. I am currently tethered to my phone, using the wifi connection, so I'm sure the net is up. I had a tech come, and replace the router. No dice.
I've reset the router.
No, really, I've reset the router, power off, cable out, long wait, etc.
I've rebooted a lot.
I've deleted wifi profile and recreated it.
I've deleted the wifi settings, and other network settings, and added the wifi back.
I've used assistant to try and connect.
I've cleared the NVRAM.
I've reset the SMC.
I've disabled airdrop.
I have bootcamp, and I've tried connecting there, too. (No luck.)
It works fine on other networks. I can connect at work, and out and about, so the hardware works.
I've run diagnostics, but I have no clue how to read the data.
I'm in China, and I don't speak Chinese, so getting help has been rough. The tech will show up, and the connection is fine on their machines, so I'm just at a loss, and they think I'm crazy or stupid.
Can anyone help me?
