Question

Macbook pro touch bar retina 15" - usb c ports

Hey guys,
Just got a mid 2017 touch bar retina macbook pro and I am pretty worried about the usb c ports. Will they get scratched easily over time? I had the normal macbook pro and never had an issue though. After 5 years of use I sold it and was literally like new. Please advise would be appreciated. Thank you so much.
Lou

Then it's all up to you.

Then it's not any fault of the design. As to your usb c mag, your choice.

Thx anyway

I don't think you understood my question. But thx anyway

I think I do.

But the USB port isn't going to get scratched it seems. but the case. Since this is up to you and how careful you are, or if you choose those mag devices, it's still up to up.

I've encountered a few users that can't accept that gear will get wear and tear. My oldest laptops show some use. That's not a bad thing!

Just concerned....

My last mscbook I had it for five years and when I sold it it was literally like new...then person that bought it from me thought it was new. I had the silver one 15 inches non retina. Now I have the Grey one retina and I'm just concerned that even if I'm careful it get scratched. I paid over 3000 euros and I would hope it wouldn't get scratched easily

As a test.

Go to an Apple store and find one that has the USB connection and unplug it to inspect for wear marks. Those public used demo units tend to get wear. I see it all the time.

I've seen some buy new cases when they sell. Me, pshaw, if I worried that much I would not have so much use and fun with my gear.
