I can't tell if you researched this but the USB C ports have much higher designed cycle counts.
"The connection is also rated for at least 10,000 connect-disconnect cycles, which is much higher than the original USB specification of 1,500 cycles, and 5,000 for the Mini specification."
Just got a mid 2017 touch bar retina macbook pro and I am pretty worried about the usb c ports. Will they get scratched easily over time? I had the normal macbook pro and never had an issue though. After 5 years of use I sold it and was literally like new. Please advise would be appreciated. Thank you so much.
