MacBook Pro not booting just the fan sounds like its running

We had the MacBook Pro Hard Drive updated 6 mos.<span id="INSERTION_MARKER"> on a Dual Core 2 (Late model its five years old).

If you find bad ram and a corrupted HDD then you know what happened.

Remember that HDD contents are written from RAM so bad ram can cause a corrupt HDD.

Was this some third party RAM? Why did you suspect it?
