macbook pro + ipad (buy both)

Nov 3, 2010 10:44AM PDT

[and i might be getting an apple discount (or at least a good price)]

so my question is: is it worth getting both. my dad may not appreciate it, but im willing to pay all of it or something. it will be mainly for games and apps and things like that. for example, both me and my dad share my desktop. so whenever i do homework and he needs to use it i usually leave.

so the MBP would be to continue my homework and all, while the ipad would be it surf the net, play games, and just goof off. like on long car rides and all, i would take the ipad to kill time and well the MBP is for school and things like that.
like i would use the ipad when im sure that i wont need to open the MBP. for a simple email check, and like remote desktop stuff like that.

please give me your feed back Happy im so confused.. im getting mixed replies on posts, etc and im not sure what to do.

If you have the money why not, but if not I would go for the macbook pro but if you want a laptop with better features and specs the 11.6 mac book air would be great too, these model has a longer battery life plus the screen resolution is amazing. The iPod is ideal for several purposes like gaming but the laptop would be much useful for you.

Wow so your planning to buy the 13 inch MBP yap the 13 inch MBP battery life can last up to 10 hours for it is energy efficient. IF I'm not mistaken the 13 MBP is the longest The longest-lasting Mac notebook battery.

The MBP

The MBP is thicker, giving more room for a battery. As it is, about 85% of the inside of an Air is made up of the battery. But it's very flat and spread out. The batteries in MBPs are more brick shaped. They only take up maybe 15% of the inside of the case, but they have a lot more vertical room to work with compared to the Air.

And if you have the backlighting set to high and use the optical drive on a MBP, it'll drain the battery very quickly.
