MacBook Pro hanging - video


I'm having a huge problem with my MacBook Pro and so far no Apple Service was able to help me! From time to time - sometimes it's week, sometimes just a few hours of work - my Mac freezes completely. There's absolutely nothing I can do once it happens, except from shuting it down. All the hardware tests goes fine. It's not the system cause I've already made few clean installations of both Leopard and Snow Leopard. It doesn't have anything to do with the application I'm working with at this moment. And I don't use any external hardware at all!

I've been fighting with this problem for over half of year now and nobody was able to give me any clue so far. For a better view of this problem you can check out the short video I've prepared showing how it's behaving when the problem occurs:

There's a few minutes of my life that I won't get back.

I watched the whole thing and didn't see you try to force quit whatever application you had running there.

I saw you stroking the trackpad and punching the keys, kinda good cop bad cop sort of thing, closing and opening the lid too.

How much RAM is installed, did you add extra RAM to this machine, can you reproduce the problem, is it the same app that freezes, if so, what app is it?

Is this MacBook Pro under warranty?

If so, what does Apple say about your repeated calls to them?

Not an application problem

This Mac is under warranty but Apple's convincing me that there's no hardware problem cause all the tests goes fine (I checked it myself before sending it to them), and that it's probably one of my app that causes this hanging. But that's not true cause it happens even after a fresh installation without any extra apps installed. And that's the biggest problem that there's no regularity in this freezing. And I cannot force to quit any app cause neither trackball, nor keybord are responding.

To be clear I have 4 GB of RAM (2x2GB).

I didn't add any extra RAM. I cannot reproduce the problem - it happens completely randomly and doesn't have anything to do with the app I have currently open.

Apple is trying to prove me that it's my fault cause I'm using wrong / bugged apps. And they don't listen that I'm using the same apps on 4 other Apple computers and all of them are commonly used applications world-wide. All that matters to them is that the hardware tests are being passed fine. I even wanted to pay someone for fixing this problem, or showing me what (if) am I doing wrong cause I didn't want them to think that I'm making thins up. So far I couldn't find anything.
