The Pro has a few minor enhancements, which IMO, are worth the extra money.
The main thing is the FireWire 800 port that is lacking on the regular MacBook. The display panels themselves are largely the same, but the Pro has glass covering the screen, making it slightly more damage resistant, and considerably easier to clean. Internally, the MacBook only has one screw on each hinge holding it there, and the Pro has 3 on each side, so the hinge is a bit more sturdy on the Pro. You also have stereo speakers on the Pro, complete with a mini-subwoofer, compared to Mono (and no sub) on the non-Pro. And finally you have the aluminum case which, IMO, is infinitely better than that white plastic used on the non-Pro.
You also have the option of 15 and 17" displays on the Pro, but it doesn't really sound like that's going to interest you much.
So extra port, stereo speakers, better display hinge, better case, and glass cover over the display about sums up the differences.
The MacBook is a solid product, but the Pro really is better IMO, and worth the extra cash.
So the regular 13inch macbook is roughly $1000 but if I shell out $200 more, I'll be in the 13inch macbook PRO range. so whats the difference besides the "pro" part? I'm a mac fan, but i don't seem to get the difference. And if the Pro is better is it worth the extra $200?
