How to use it.

1. Purchase an external Hard drive
2. Plug it in
3. Say "Yes" to the prompt from the Time Machine software
4. Done

How to recover data with it.
1. Open the folder where the missing file used to be.
2. Open Time Machine
3. Go back in time until the missing file appears in the window
4. Click on it and hit Restore
5. Done

Simple

It will not recover a Partition but it should recover the contents of the partition.

It will recover a folder. Just navigate to the the directory (folder) that the missing folder was in and then launch Time Machine.

One hesitates to ask, but; what is your current backup strategy?

unless you have specific questions relating to the use of Time Machine.

I assume you have a car or some other form of transport.

Answer this:

"I use a car. But I want to know more about it. I want to know what should I do if something happens."
