Yes, you will be able to view your Microsoft Office Mac version created file on your work PC as long as you have Microsoft Office PC version on it.
Best way to learn. Use it. Then, when you find you want to be able to do something that you used to do in XP, take a look at the help file and find the Mac way. A lot of the keyboard shortcuts like, Print, Quit, Copy and Save are identical.
No, you do not need anything extra added to your machine to enable it to use the DSL network. You should be able to just plug in the DSL Modem into the Mac's Ethernet port and go surfing. If you have a USB only DSL Modem, get it changed to an ethernet one before the Mac arrives. USB modems do not work too well with a Mac.
Good luck and welcome to this side
I just ordered my first Apple computer. My laptop keeps crashing so I finally made the switch. Any way, I would like to know if I use Microsoft Office Mac version at home, can I view and edit these files on my work PC?
I would also appreciate any advice as to what is the best way to learn the Mac OS vs Windows XP. Since I use DSL at home, do I need to do anything special to use DSL on the Mac?
Thank you in advance.
