Could be any of the usual but the story is one we hear a lot. They usually end up at the service counter for a new mainboard. If they kept it under Apple Care, it's usually a quick fix.

yesterday my mac pro laptop, started doing some freakie stuff, I was on the internet surfing, and it all of a sudden got slow, ( if you went to minimize a window, it would very slowly creep to the lower right of screen, and when enlarging again it would go with same speed) it would also randomly throw a pop up stating( are you sure you want to shutdown or restart machine) I thought I may have been hacked, so I shut down the computer, tried to restart, first it would load and go to desktop, then it would throw pop up again,( the shutdown, restart etc ) even click cancel it would keep poping up after about 15 seconds. I let it shut down and tried to turn it on again and it wont do anything now. if you push the power button, nothing, it wont even attempt to boot. I have checked the battery power with the little button on the side, battery has full power, the power cord when plugged in shows green led.
I have read on other forums about others that had done the recent updates and crashing, I last did mine on friday. I dont think it is an update glitch.
what should I do?
