Jun 6, 2009 1:44AM PDT

I am wondering how to get this game to run, I am using a virtual machine but when i open a folder that has the files they show as doc files. I also have a .sit file but it won't open currently.

What are you using to run the VM on?

What is the VM you are running?
Is the VM running System 7.5.5?
Do you have a copy of Stuffit Expander for System 7.5 installed on the VM?

Do you see the red Note above your post when you typed it?

Ahh so I will be running 7.5.5 VM on a Mac unibody I also have an older mac that I can do classic stuff on. I am having trouble because when I download stuffit Expander I can not seem to get it to instal in 7.5.5 something about needing something to mount it with. Can you try and get this game running on your computer and then maybe put the steps it takes to get it running?? Or at the very least tell me how to install stuff on it remeber that this is a base version I dont' hve an internet client on it I dont' have the items that let you mount stuff and I don't have Stuffit Expander. Ive been wanting to play this game again since i found it again and have had very little success if you can get it running for me Id pay for it!!!!!! I'm serious about the paying thing.

Just as a matter of interest, where are you getting System 7.5.5 from to install on the VM?

If you are using something other than the original installation disks, I suggest that you go find them and install the OS from them. That way you will have all the required support for System 7.5.5 and will be able to install programs, including Stuffit Expander, and get that application running.

You have not mentioned what virtual machine you are using so the actual process of moving files into the VM remain a mystery.

Sorry, but I am not going to take a giant leap backwards to attempt to install 7.5.5 onto my computer. I left that version of the Operating System behind a considerable number of years ago.

As you have a machine that is capable of running System 9.x, why not use Stuffit Expander on it to unpack the files you need for this game?
