card but it does like a whole lot of processor ummph1
The graphics on the MacMini depends on which machine you get.
The 2.5Ghz, i5 machine has a graphics card that does not share the memory of the Mini, it has its own
ALL the other variations, including the i7, use the Intel HD Graphics 3000 card which shares the onboard RAM.
For video work, the i7 would be the way to go as it has more ummph in the processor
I'm new here, I have a macbook pro (early 2010) it's ok for working with photoshop, illustrator and indesign but I'm getting into video editing and I need to upgrade to a more powerful machine. I don't have a lot of money to spend and I've got an apple keyboard and mouse so I was thinking to buy a macmini. The i7 quadcore is a pretty powerful computer but I read on the internet that it's inferior for graphic card and overall every day use to its dualcore counterparts (i7 2,7ghz and i5 2,5 ghz). is it true?
what can be the best choice for me? can you explain how the gpu can affect the use of this programs and what the "server edition" is ment for? can the imac (the lowest end one) be a better alternative?
a lot of questions, thanks in advance
