Mac Mail crashing

10.3.9 G4 mail crashes sometimes when attempting to open or delete mail. I reduced my inbox from 2800 to 800 when I lost all of my mail from 1 of 4 accounts

It seems that messages with attachments cause Mac Mail to quit when I attampt to open or delete. Some messages with attachments do open however. I am using G4 desktop OSx 10.3.9

The mail program still works. certain e-mails with attachments (I don't know what type of attachments) cause Mail to crash when I attempt to open or delete. I also have had problems with Safari crashing. It got so bad that I started using Firefox instead. I am backing everything to try Archive & Install.

Mac Mail AND Safari crashing!!!

My Mac Mail (3.6) began crashing about 4 weeks ago every time I tried to open any e-mail with an attachment or when I wrote a new e-mail and tried to add an attachment. Also, when I try to open Safari 4.0.2, it crashes, too. I've got a Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 with 4.5 GB DDR SDRAM with Version 10.5.7. I ran Disk Utility, but nothing was indicated as being wrong. Also, ran TechToolPro 5, which found nothing wrong.

If anyone has suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you -- this is extremely frustrating!

Tried Archive and Install: no change
by timztoyz / August 10, 2009 10:27 AM PDT

Thanks, but I performed an Archive and Install, and even installed a new version of Safari, but it didn't make any difference. I hoped the latest update to OS 10.5.8 would make a difference, would help, but it didn't. Any other ideas?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
