a port off your existing router?
Blue-Ray > ethernet cable > switch > router
or if you have a spare port on the router
Blue-Ray > Ethernet cable > Router
Streaming wirelessly directly to the Blue-Ray may be possible but I doubt that 802.11N has the bandwidth to cope with anything close to HD
I am purchasing a Panasonic Blue Ray model DMP-BD80K. I want to connect it to my wireless network using a Ethernet Bridge as this Blue Ray has an ethernet port. I can do my firmware upgrades and other stuff. My question is does anyone have a suggestion for an Ethernet Bridge. I read many stories of people who buy bridges with little help on using them with a MAC. I have never used a bridge but assume I can take it to my computer and Airport Extreme>plug it in and configure it for my network. Then I can take it into my other room where the Blue Ray is located and plug it into my Blue Ray and shazzam all works well. Nothing every works that simple but any shared experience with Ethernet Bridges and configuring them for your Mac would be appreciated. Any suggested models would help.
For the poster who said you cannot get streaming video wirelessly I think you may be wrong or maybe I read it wrong. Take a look at the Blue Ray model I listed above from Panasonic web site and see what it reads.
