Question

Mac address and Ip address

Mar 28, 2016 10:18AM PDT

Can someone help me out?

Is destination mac address for a dhcp Discover packet, broadcast?
and if so is it the same for a destination IP address?
Would destination mac address for dhcp request be unicast and the same for Ip?

won't change but using DHCP the IP address does. Mac adress inindentify with the hardware and IP address in a networks adress. This is why when you purchase your own modem the ISP will connect using the mac address of the device.
