Question

M2N68-LA Narra6L replacement board

May 26, 2017 12:30AM PDT

Hi, my power supply blew up the other day and I took my PC to a "expert" and he said the capacitors are fried on the motherboard as a result. My question is if someone can direct me to a replacement board or where I could get the same board that would go with my processor it's a dual core 7550. The model number of the PC is CQ3020AN if that helps. Thanks in advance.

I have obviously googled it and I've found some with M2N68-LA on the board it'sself but it's not a (Narra6L) I've read it has to be the exact same or I'll have problems with my BIOS or can it be any narra board?

When you get into the off brands

Or the maker doesn't have parts you have to take some risk. If you are risk adverse let a TV repair shop fix it.

Sorry. HP isn't an off brand

But when replacing the motherboards you will find that there is some harsh surprises. The OS may detect that and die. Google this: "Windows license dies with the motherboard."

Microsoft has not been too pushy about this if you pop in a HP motherboard on a HP.

Mobo

Contact HP and see if they can supply one.

You want an exact match otherwise things like your OS won't work.

After you figure out the cost of a psu and a mobo and maybe other stuff it might be best to scrap the thing and move on.

Sometimes putting money into an old machine is not cost effective.

Hey guys thanks for your help I've found out there are like 7 different narra boards similar to mine but not the same, I thought I could get away with it temporarily until I got a new PC but I can't seem to find my exact board. I'll contact HP and if they can't help me I'll just have to buy the bullet.
