m-bam cbo setup.exe FP??

Windows XP home SP3
Malwarebytes version 1.28 Database 1225

Full scan today with m-bam shows one infected object Trojan Vundo

C:\Documents and settings\Ray\Desktop\Downloads\CBO_setup_4.26.exe

Folder has been downloaded ages ago. Cannot find any post on m-bam forum of being a false positive.

No action by m-bam taken on file.

Any posting else where's about this find by m-bam

Hi Ray..

My curiosity got the better of me. I downloaded the BOClean installer (CBO_Setup_4.27.exe) and scanned the file with MBAM. The results showed Vundo. I would agree with you that's it's a false positive. I don't see where you've brought it to their attention. If haven't done so already, I would be more than happy to. Either way, I feel they should know.

An added note about BOClean..

IF you still have Version 4.26 installed, the following shows the changes with 4.27:

Changes in Version 4.27
General:

- Solved problem in Windows PSAPI routines which caused corrupted memory allocations and "BOClean not responding" errors on "piggy programs."
- Removed erroneous error messages on update failure.
- Fixed excluder to ensure "windows services" could be excluded even if not actually running.

I am not registered at m-bam and have been waiting for confirmation forever after registering.

Would you please submit FP and I will monitor your post.

You will notice I used carol from the list but my keyboard has a hard time entering it. The other in the list seem to work so much easier.

just now. I was so busy "dotting my i's" and "crossing my t's" in my post at MB, I wasn't paying attention to CNET, or any tracking notifications. I was about to call it a night, and figured I might as well report it. We've done our "civic duty" for the day! Thanks for pointing it out.

Believe it or not, it did cross my mind, which name I'd see. Grin I happen to like the one you used the best. It's been with me all these long 25 years and I've gotten used to it!

Looks like they are working on it

Out of town but will try the scan again Sunday when I return home.

I updated Boclean to 4.27 thanks for the reminder.
I must of had a senior moment when it was available for updating.
