Lumix DMC-FS5 Screen turned black....pls help

Feb 18, 2010 7:01AM PST

I am currently traveling on a 3 month trip and today when I went to turn my camera on the monitor appears almost black. I can't view anything. It will take a photo but I don't have a clue what I am viewing prior to snapping the shot. Of course the set up manual was left at home and I've been unsuccessful in downloading one at the Panasonic site online. Have had this camera for a year without any problems.
I did recharge the battery thinking perhaps that was it...but wasn't. Would greatly appreciate any input on this.

I hope you can see the LCD well enough to get to the Set-Up menu.
That is where you will find the Reset Command.

I am able to view all the camera commands...modes/display, etc. All the settings appear to be correct. However, I am not aware of any 'reset' mode/setting. Where might I find this?

Thanks!

You mis-read my reply.

"Set-Up menu.

Find the Set-Up menu - the one you use to set the time/date, etc.
You will also find a Reset command in that menu.
