Hello everyone,
As everyone knows Windows-8 is a more better operating system. But i got this is not a better one. Firstly every type of media player is not supported.plus the sleep mode problem, Some devices will not awake and you may be forced to carry out a hard reset.

Sleep mode problem?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / February 26, 2015 11:52 PM PST

Between home and office we have dozens of Windows 8 or 8.1 laptops. All good here. Makes me wonder if it's a setting or maker issue.

As to media player, you didn't reveal which didn't work. I use VLC Player a lot and looking at MX Player.

I did not like Windows 7 at all. Windows 8, seemed like a huge improvement. With Windows 8 I didn't encounter near the errors that I did with Windows 7. I also agree that you should try Windows 10. It's a major improvement and so far I haven't encountered one error.

Why bother with Windows 8?
by LooseMarbles / October 28, 2015 8:22 AM PDT

I thought everyone knew the pattern of quality with Windows OS releases. Get 10, skip the next one, and upgrade to the one after that when it comes out.

Same here

I have noticed the same problems with that operating system. I signed up for 10 as soon as it came out, and it has been a much better experience. Really I don't know why it was necessary to change anything from 7, as it was the best operating system I have used,

Thanks in Advance

In your first post you mentioned 2 problems:
1. About media players. What is your exact problem?
2. About devices not waking up after returning from sleep. That's a driver issue. See if there are more recent drivers for those devices for your version of Windows.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
