LU 1848 Problem from Norton.

In reply to: LU1848 FROM NORTON

I have experienced exactly the same problem, which implies to me that it is caused by a defective product. In my opinion, Norton should supply a repair or replacement and not expect its customers to spend hours trying to repair the problem themselves as I have done trying to follow the instructions in the Symantec Document 2004011511243313.
I have e-mailed their technical department and suggested that if they don't keep their customers happy, they may not keep thgeir customers.

First time they tried that on me....

In reply to: LU1848 FROM NORTON

they almost got me until I realized I would have to upgrade my 98s IE from 5.5 to6.0 which at the time was causing problems on 98SE machines. That plus the 2 viruses I got while using Norton drove me straight into the arms of AVG Free and I've never looked back. I felt they gave me the heave-ho for extra profits as new fees were much more than renewal of old version. Glad I did that! Happy
