Low sound quality

I seem to have a problem with sound from an outside source all of the alert sounds etc are fine but video and e-mail sounds and or msn sounds are so low that I can't hear them, I have the volume turned up full blast on my speakers, which of course is really loud when the alerts play but can hardly be heard when videos etc play

Help Please

Have you asked MSN about this?

It's not that I don't have an idea, but I've only tried their software a few times and found it a bit disagreeable. My bet is that WMP's (Media Player) sound level is turned down and maybe MSN has its own volume control?
