low-resolution LCD's for people with poor vision

Feb 28, 2006 10:15PM PST

I work in an IT department that recently "upgraded" from CRT's to LCD's. Plenty of people here have been accustomed to looking at a 17" CRT at 800 x 600. Anything higher than that and they can't see the text. The 17" Sony LCD's we bought have a native resoultion of 1280 x 1024, which is completely out of the question for most people here. The problem is, lowering the resoultion yields blurry results.

So, does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes LCD monitors with low native resoultions? I'm looking for a 17 or 19 with a native or 1024 at the highest.
