Lousy Monitor Image Quality

by Fla-Keys / October 17, 2014 3:57 AM PDT

Is the clarity and sharpness of the monitor affected by the power of your computer? I have an Acer H233H monitor with a very grainy image and I'm assuming that's because I have it hooked up to my old Toshiba laptop. Zat why?

The 2 usual issues beyond the monitor are:

1. Is it the Native Resolution? (google that if you are new to PC terms.)
2. Is the connection digital or analog?

No, should be the same with a laptop and a desktop. Assuming it's an LCD-monitor (I didn't check) set the resolution on the laptop to the native resolution of the monitor.
