Question

Loud computer then shut off

Apr 12, 2017 11:11AM PDT

My computer has been loud (sounds like an airplane) for several weeks then suddenly it shut off and won't turn back on, any ideas what's wrong with it? It's a windows computer.

Loud could be the fans doing their utmost best to cool the CPU. And if they failed in that, probably is severely damaged. That's wrong with it. Or it could be some other cause also.
Now find a repair shop and ask for an estimate to fix it.

If your car starts making airplane-like noises, do you continue driving as if nothing could be wrong, or do you visit a garage as soon as possible? I assume the last. It's the same with a PC.

In the future, when such happens, better fix the issue before there is a fatal (and possibly expensive) failure like this.

Thank you everyone for your help, I'm taking it in to a specialist in a couple days to see what the damage is going to be.

Thank you.
