Lotus does not blossom for me !!

by macbew / November 18, 2005 10:06 PM PST

Using Windows XP Home Edition with programme Lotus Word Pro 97 for writing text. Have in excess of 100 pages of text with more to write. Initial page has Header, Footer and Margin. Horror, horror, every page is a mirror image of the pevious one with Header, Footer, Margin. Want to remove these (space consumers). Could someone please help/advise me how to remove them OR transfer text to Microsoft Word or whatever? Thank you.

There is a new version available.

Your choice here, but I'd stick that 97 on the OS it runs on then export the document to RTF (rich text format) so it's in a neutral file format that Office or even OPEN OFFICE (http://www.openoffice.org ) can use.

Removing headers, footers and margins - haven't use it for the last six years, but if I remember correctly, at page setup, set their sizes to nil. To transfer text created at Lotus Word Pro, save as RTF files as Bob suggested, then open in MS Word or whatever and save. Or use copy and paste.
