Lost XP Password

by bud888 / February 24, 2006 2:22 AM PST

Last week I decided to change my log in password from my laptop while working on other things also. I was able to remember the password even when I got home and I was able to log in also without any problem but there's one thing I forgot to do, guess what?, everybody probably knows the answer, I forgot to write down my new password. A week came then I decided to log in and now I'm stuck and don't want to re-format it, tried the safe mode also but it's asking for the password too. Is there a way to retrieve the password from XP without re-formatting the drive or re-storing it, any help is greatly appreciated.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
