Lost smart restore restore capability

Aug 3, 2007 10:46PM PDT

Hi Everyone
can you please help I recently had to use my master restore disc for the first time to get my pc back running after a complete crash. The disc as worked well and everything now seems fine. My problem is that in packard bell smart restore I have now lost the 2 little icons that usually appear at the bottom of the smart restore little page one is for backing up your pc to a disc and the other one is for doing a complete recovery I have found the recovery one very helpful in the past and would like to get that option back as anyone come across this problem before if so can you help please.
Cheers
Steve

XP has no Smart Restore program.

My old Acer had a nice program called TIME MACHINE (this varies with maker) that sounds similar to yours. This program was not installed from the restore CDs but was on some Accessory CD.

Recheck your CDs for other tools and programs. Remember I don't own your model PC so I am guessing here.
