Lost " Search Companion "

by Dandy Don / June 4, 2004 6:01 PM PDT

Hi From Texas !

I cannot search for files and folders etc... When I go to START >SEARCH , the WHOLE thing is blank. It has been this way for a long time. I want my Dog back. That little Dog icon that shows that it is searching is gone. There is no text , nothing. The blue background which was the default color is gone and a brown background is in its place . I like the blue. I can make a restore point . That way anything ya'll suggest won't hurt for me to try, for I can use it to restore before your idea.--------Dandy Don

I would have tried to repair system files via the command "sfc /scannow" at Start>Run. Have your XP CD ready.
