Lost Password

Hi, can someone help me, I lost the logon password to my laptop, what to do now, cann't get in. Any suggestions? I will write it down for now on....

Hi well here's one way BUT this will remove all passwords on the puter. Boot into safe mode, start the puter and start tapping the F8 key when you start up. Once in safe mode click on the start, search and find files and folders. Now when the screen comes up type in *.pwl and click enter. When the folder is shown right click it and then from the drop down menu choose delete. restart the puter and you will have not any passwords so you can start fresh.

The *.pwl suggestion works for Win9x and WinME. It doesn't work for WinXP.
