lost password

i brought a pc out of the closet and now i can't get into it because i don't have & forgot the password it does't let me get pass the sign on screen (user,administrator ect.)can't install a reboot disk until i get pass the sign on, is there a way to by pass the password or to retrieve it, i'm running xp on a four year old unit. any help is appreciated.....

Forgot your Windows NT/2k/XP/Vista admin password?

Password deletion

On boot up keep tapping delete until set up utility appears. When the set up utility appears, use the arrow keys to scroll up and down, left to right. You will see both USER password and SUPERVISOR password. To access (delete/change) one or the other, scroll to it with the arrow keys and use the ENTER key to change/delete. ESC will take you back to the WINDOWS screen. Good luck!

i tried the delete until the set up came up but nothing about password, back to square one will keep trying & thanks
