Found them in 1 of the 3 libraries. Thanks!
The program was not functioning properly-it took forever to "Quit", or crashed instead. It was suggested in the "book" to 1) repair permissions-I did, 2) look for an update-it was up to date & 3) delete the prefs (Library-pref folder-delete the 2 .plist found there. I did, didn't empty Trash.
When I opened iPhoto, it was totally empty. I reinstated the prefs from the trash, but still had 0 photos.
Maybe that isn't a good way to troubleshoot??
