Lost files while trying to burn to DVD

My daughter was trying to transfer files to a DVD. She opened the folder in My Pictures, selected all pictures, then clicked Move This File in the sidebar on the left. A list of locations opened, and she selected the DVD drive. It appeared that all the files were transferred to a folder ready to be burned. When she clicked on the command to create the DVD, she got an error message and now can not find the original picture files.

Can anyone help me locate them?

Using XP SP3, Acer Aspire Netbook, Matshita External CD/DVD USB drive.

Thanks

Using move is not a good idea.

The pictures should be in the "to be burned" folder. Take a look in there and move them back to a better location. Next time use the "Send to" function or the Copy & Paste routine. BTW: WinXP does not support write to DVD natively, only write to CD. (and only if it is turned on for the device)

Where is the "to be burned" folder?

Thanks for the reply.
Where is the "to be burned" folder located?
Also thanks for the recommendations on how to move files to CD.
