Question

Lost Drivers for my Samsung Laptop

My laptop updated to win 10. I rolled it back with a system restore on a cd, but now there are no drivers for anything. It can't even find the internet. I have programs that restore a computer to top shape, but they at least need internet access, and now I'm finding out that the drivers are harder than ever to find. My boy is turning 6 and want's a laptop of his own. Can you please help us out?

Clarification Request
Which Samsung?

In reply to: Lost Drivers for my Samsung Laptop

Samsung has a different method to get drivers which varies with the model. So let's get a model number or better yet supply the samsung.com link to your model and I'll look at how Samsung does drivers for this model.

Link and comments.

The product downloads are at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/notebook-windows-laptops-np-qx410

But it's old school methods may test folk used to easier methods. That is I had to scroll down to the DOWNLOADS area and click on SEE MORE to find what was available.

Then it's not the newer Samsung method but the old ways where you download driver after driver for Windows 7. So download them all and install the motherboard chipset first then audio, video and other drivers. Reboot when they ask.

That's the drivers. Now this notebook has APPS that control the battery, display, networking and MORE. Go get the file "Install Guide" if you don't install Windows often and see what it offers.

Another method

In reply to: Great!

If you get overwhelmed with the manual stuff is to contact samsung and see if you can buy the factory restore media.

That should get you an easy method to return everything to stock.

Look in your manual and see if it talks about a restore partition.

I think I found an answer on 3dp net and 3dp chip. Once I get a good wifi signal I'll be at it again.
