how does one test with these i'm talking about the home made ones i saw some videos that wasn't computer related more like other electronic things like a monitor and the person used a electronic device with it to test with a paper clip and some use with a cut wire so i'm confused with some people don use electronic devices and some use software programs which ways are consider a true loop back plug process way for testing a port with a cut wire with a computer or is there just many ways to do this kind of loop back plug method well i just want to know the most common way on how people do this with a cut wire because theres not a lot of info about this

Your entry level person will have to get the loopback plug ready to use with the test software.

Your seasoned person with some years of experience or more will have looked at the plug wiring and do what we call a MacGyver using whatever is at hand to make do.

In your case, you should get the ready to use plugs. Don't feel bad about that!
