Now that General Clark has dropped out, I wouldn't be surprised to see it develop into a good two man race between Kerry and Edwards.

So there will be double the links.

While not too involved in the Democratic primaries, and right now registered as Republican, I remember someone on overnight CNN (on tv at work in canteen, can't remember what time) saying the question now would be when the party leaders would resent Edwards if he kept on running and making things divisive.

That right now if he quit soon he was the mostly likely candidate for VP. Of course the idea of Kerry/Edwards ticket has been talked about since Dean campaign blew up in Iowa.

So they thought it was a question of a balencing act now for Edwards. Keep running to build up more standing vs becoming regarded as devisive. Wonder what the magic point is.

I think we're very close to it now. I'm sure you've already noticed how civil the two candidates have been towards each other (OK, Kerry made that "diapers" crack but quickly took it back).

My hunch is that Edwards is waiting for Dean to drop out first.

Dean will drop when the money runs out, not before. (nt)
