I have had it for about a month and really like it. Small and great video. The CCD color really is worth it.
Hello,
I am looking to purchase a new camcorder. I currently own a panasonic VHS-C camcorder (? tiny vhs tapes) I've only had it about a year and I am not satisfied with the quality at all. It started out with poor video quality, but as time has move on it now reacts weird when I am someplace with loud nows. The video will shake and lines will appear on the bottom. Right now I am recording on these tapes and then dubbing them with my DVD recorder.
I run my own website and I want to put videos on my website. I really would like to be able to record in low light, such as fireworks, but also have good quality day time recording. I want image stablization and good sound. That probably is the best thing about the camera I have now, the sound has always been really good, it can pick up on low sounds, but when the sound is really loud it really helps to lower it. I would like the most zoom possible. The only thing I don't need to be good is the snap shot mode. This is a feature I know I won't be using much, but could come in handy later.
I don't edit video or anything like that, so that is not of concern. I originally was wanting to get a DVD cam a few years ago, but decided to go with Mini DV, the quality was great but I was unable to get the video on to my computer to burn to DVD. I really want something that I will be able to put on a DVD and play in an ordinary player. The way I understand it now is that you can plug a mini-dv cam into the dvd recorder and put it directly on to the DVD, is this true? It seems like DVD cams just aren't quite there yet, according to Cnet reviews and also the length of the tapes way too short for me. Any how, I think this is everything I need in my camera, so if you could help me out I would really appreciate it. I'm looking to buy it sometime soon, but don't actually need it until September, so I would like to buy it around August or sooner.
Thanks so much
