WD Black

Hi there ilya19831!

Since you're looking for a performance drive, I would recommend you the WD Black drive to use it for your demanding apps and games. It has additional build-in features like dynamic cache (which optimizes the cache allocation) and no touch ramp technology (the recording head never touches the disk) that will give you faster loading times in gaming.

Hope this helps.

Cheers! Happy

I personally have 2 WD Black drive and don't find them loud, so I think it really depends on what you consider loud.

As for your second question, I am an official WD rep, so I cannot comment on different brands and models.

Newegg.com and the frankly the one you linked didn't have such great reviews..

The link below shows all 2TB drive SATA 6.0Gbs ...the prices are all over the range and the reviews range widely too. The good thing is you can use the reviews to give you some sense of the buyer's experience with the specific drives. I've been looking at the 2TB HDDs too but nothing here really jumps out as 'outstanding'.

Let us know how it works out.
