Question

Looking for USB powered speakers with quality sound.

I have a mac laptop and am looking for a set of computer speakers that are usb powered (I will be living in several different countries over the next few years and need something that is more versatile than a 120v power supply) and need recommendations on what has a really good sound. Logitec Z5 doesn't have a very good review on sound. Any suggestions?

Since USB power tops out at 2.5 Watts

Given a 2.5 Watt power budget I doubt anyone will write nice about USB powered speakers.

Good point. This prompts an additional question.... Laptops and a number of electronics have powers supplies that automatically convert the power supply. Are there any computer speakers out there like this?

But I can't guess the requirements. There are what must be a bazillion computer speaker systems out there that accept 110 to 240 VAC and 50 to 60 Hz AC.
