using component cables will produce 1080i resolution
Does anyone know if this model is 1080i? It's 3 years old. I believe its the right model number, maybe Samsung hlr4266wx/xaa

Phoebus16,
That unit's native resolution is 720p, with a fixed resolution of 1280x720.
FWIW, since there don't seem to be any online specifications (I've kept my product guides over the years)....
It has a 2500:1 contrast ratio, supports component for 480i/p, 720p and 1080i. It doesn't support a 1080p signal. So you could watch Blu-Ray on it with high definition, but you'll have to set the output on the HDMI to 1080i as a maximum instead of 1080p. (Better yet, native resolution is 720p, so that might even be better).
The model is from our 2005 lineup, and I have it listed as a HL-R4266W. (the other digits represent country codes, so this is for the U.S.)
