Question

Looking for Replacement Gaming/Work Laptop

Apr 16, 2015 7:13AM PDT

I've been using my Lenovo y570 for quite some time now, and I've been pretty happy with it. Unfortunately, it is starting to become out of date. While it used to exceed the requirements for most games, some of the latest generation titles have started to prove quite a challenge for my Laptop. GTA V, for instance, will only run on minimum settings.

What I would like is a Laptop that is similar to the y570 in functionality but more up-to-date in terms of performance. Are there any former y570 users who have gone through this?

I've started to lean towards the newer y50 model (though I'm not a fan of the lack of a disk drive), but I'm still open to suggestions.

I mentioned in my post that that was what I was leaning towards, but I was wondering if there were any other options worth checking out.
