Looking for presentation software for a show with JPEG pics

Feb 6, 2010 6:56AM PST

I need a simple software solution to do a presentation from my computer which is all jpeg immages.

I thought I had a Windows pre-installed program that could do it but it seems to only autorun as opposed to letting me manually advance the pictures.

What I want is simple; running a Vista laptop; presentation of approximately 30 jpeg images and I want to manually advance so that I can present each picture talk and advance at different intervils not autorun.

I guess I could build it in PowerPoint but I sware the last time I did this I used a Windows pre-installed program on my old computer that worked just fine. I can not find the same capability on the new Vista machine.

Can anyone suggest some freeware/shareware or a simple program ?

Thanks

Slideshow software

Thanks. I have PowerPoint but to do that I have to insert each photo to a slide.

In the past I thought I was able to use a viewer program that all I did was to put the pictures into a folder in order I wanted them to appear.

Any similar options?

IRFANVIEW does this too. It can create a slideshow in the order you specify.

also has a nice slideshow creator built in, or when you are viewing images full screen you can manuall go from one image to the next with the arrow keys on your keyboard.
