If you leave out the Nikon S4, the smallest 10X zoom camera is the new Olympus SP500 (6meg - 10X).
There is also a 5meg - 6X camera (Panasonic LZ2).
However, it does not have manual controls.
Here are specifications:
I know there are 1000 different combinations of camera features, but why can't I find one that works for me? Maybe you can help.
I am looking for a psuedo-compact camera. 4+ Megapixels (5 would be great - not looking to print posters!) and something more than the standard 4x optical zoom.
It seems as if there are plenty of 6+ mpxl cameras that are small as well, but only have a 3x optical zoom (thinking Powershot S80 or Nikon 7900)
I was really excited about the Nikon S4 (I currently have a 995) but was dissapointed about the recent reviews. Similarly, I was looking at the Powershot S2-IS as well, but it's a bit bulkier and pricier than I was hoping for.
Can anybody else suggest other options I should look into, or am I looking for the perfect combo that doesn't exist??
