Question

Looking for Laptop with decent speakers

Feb 27, 2016 4:32AM PST

Hi all,
I'm looking for a laptop with a price set between 900 and 1200$ with the following features:
->decent speakers with a subwoofer (important)
->bright panel
->15" screen, in worst case 17" screen
-> optical drive (important)
-> decent battery life

Does anyboy have an idea what could fit best into this list?
Thanks in advance Happy

A laptop has no space for decent speakers, let alone subwoofers. But decent sound on a headphone set won't be a problem.

A basic external speaker set is just stereo (2 speakers) via the headphone jack. To connect with your home theater set you need to tell what inputs that has.

That's a Dell Inspiron i5558-2859BLK 15.6 Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Intel Core i3, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD). Does it have a subwoofer as the OP asked? I don't think so.
